The Personal Impact of the H-1B Cap

Not only does the H-1B Cap impact U.S. employers' ability to hire needed foreign talent, but it also has a very real impact on an individual level. As illustrated in the post below from a Canadian MBA student at Yale, many of the world's brightest young minds would love nothing else than to contribute their unique skills for the betterment of America - if our immigration laws would just allow them to do so.

For generations, America has been destination of choice for the world's best and brightest. But, if our broken, outdated immigration policies, like the H-1B Cap, continue to send an unwelcoming message, they will go elsewhere - and it will be our loss as a nation.
